BBPP was listed on the London Stock Exchange on 9 November 2006, raising £300 million, which was used to acquire the initial portfolio and provide a platform for future acquisitions. BBPP represented the first listing of a Babcock & Brown fund outside the Australian capital markets.

BBPP offers shareholders exposure to investment in infrastructure assets, particularly those with a public or social character such as assets developed under public bodies, under private finance intitiatives or under public private partnerships.

Babcock & Brown Power

Babcock & Brown Power (ASX: BBP) listed on the ASX on 11 December 2006. BBP is a specialist infrastructure entity which provides investors access to a 'pure play' electricity generation portfolio. BBP's investment strategy seeks to provide an attractive cash yield and long term capital growth. BBP's portfolio consists of seven operating power stations consisting of base load, intermediate and peaking power stations. There are a further two power stations under construction (in WA and NSW) and due to be operational in late 2008.
